Heritage Sessions

The Heritage Sessions programme, led by Andalucía Film Commission, is a working initiative focused on promoting heritage as a strategic resource for film and television production, while supporting the professionalisation of the audiovisual sector. Developed across different locations in Andalusia, the programme adopts a practical approach to connecting place, heritage management and audiovisual production.

Through meetings and working sessions, Heritage Sessions brings together audiovisual professionals and managers of heritage sites to improve the conditions under which these locations are used for filming and to advance a shared model of best practice, aligned with the current needs of the industry.

Location / DIgitisation

Professional discussion on the digitisation of locations through LiDAR scanning, aerial capture and photogrammetry applied to film, television, advertising and video games. The session, held as part of the Heritage Sessions professional meetings, addresses their practical use in scouting and filming preparation, as well as their impact on workflows and the progressive adoption of these tools within the Andalusian audiovisual sector.

Heritage Sessions II Location Crush brought together professionals from production, locations and art direction, site managers, specialists in technology and sustainable filming, tourism stakeholders, film offices and film commissions to exchange experiences and create synergies, addressing topics such as the work of the audiovisual industry, the promotion and management of public and private locations, and filming in unique spaces.
